Every bride is different, and every wedding is a unique celebration of love between two people. There are so many details that go into a bride’s big day, but one of the most important is certainly her dress. In EVENT’s Bridal Editorial, we will highlight dresses that fit several different themes, personalities and tastes. Much thanks to Le Fleur Bridal and Alabella Studios, and White Dresses and Greentree Photography, and all of the contributing businesses who helped create the beautiful images you see here.

Look 10 Pounds Lighter in Your Wedding Dress - Just by Perfecting your Posture!
By Mary Gregory, DPT, PMA

Every bride wants to look her best on the big day, including having the best possible body. It’s not too late to take inches off of your waist! The old adage of “sucking it in” doesn’t work. The diaphragm is the primary muscle of inspiration (or “sucking in”). When you inhale, your diaphragm pushes down and spreads outward - making your rib cage larger! Did you ever wonder how to achieve the “corset” look without the actual corset? The muscle that we train to achieve this is the transversus abdominus (TA). The TA provides trunk and pelvic stability by compressing the abdomen, and making the rib cage smaller. This compression of the abdomen also contributes to proper posture, which can take off 10 pounds immediately!
