Max is a big, shy sweetie pie. He was born in the shelter, one of eight puppies, and was adopted. Many months later, he escaped his owner's home and was picked up by Animal Services. His owner no longer wanted him, so he was returned to the Humane Society. He was the shyest pup in the litter, and remains so to this day. But don't let his shyness fool you; he is no scary-cat, in fact he loves other dogs and cats. He is shy with strangers, fearful, and is in need of a tender-hearted, gentle and loving human who can gain his trust. Once he warms up to you, he is a big teddy lover bear!  He wants a forever home with someone who is as cool and calm as he is.
