When you were little, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

I was born and raised in Huntsville and always knew I wanted to be involved with technology and/or make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.  From my family to Signalink to being an active participant in community and civic organizations, I have realized my dream job!

What circumstances or person helped shape you in your career?

Over the course of my career, I’ve done several different things: I’ve served in the Army; I’ve been a nurse practitioner; I’ve been a Facility Security Officer; I’ve been a primary caregiver for family. I am a wife and mother. My role now is as CEO of Signalink, Inc. Signalink is a dream that my husband had always envisioned and in founding it together, I would say that we shaped each other’s careers in a way that worked for both our business and our family.

What do you love most about your job?

I love leading and learning from a team of incredibly talented people to make a difference.

What’s your favorite thing about living in the Huntsville/Madison County area?

It has a small town feel with big city opportunities and venues.

What civic organizations or nonprofits have you been involved with, and why have those been important to you?

I serve on the Women’s Business Council, Leadership Greater Huntsville, Women in Defense, the Catalyst Veteran’s Accelerator Steering Committee, and other like organizations. I have also been appointed to the Madison Board of Education and am a member of the Committee of 100 as well as the American Legion, Post 229. I am a founding Committee member of the UAH i2C’s Women in Technology. I served on the Madison River of Hope Committee where we raised $10K in Covid Relief funds for our local nonprofits. Through Signalink Serves, I volunteer with local nonprofits such as Still Serving Veterans and the Downtown Rescue Mission. I truly believe in this community and in the people around me, and I strive every day to impact lives through service.

What awards, accolades or accomplishments are you proudest of?

For the Catalyst Center’s 6th Annual Entrepreneur Awards of 2021, I was awarded the Female Entrepreneur of the Year. I was also a recipient of the Madison Chamber’s Best in Business Excellence in Leadership and Service award, both of which were huge honors. Winning the 2019 Madison Chamber Best in Business awards and the 2020 Huntsville Madison County Chamber’s Government Contracting – Technology Business of the Year was a huge accomplishment for our team. Our family was extremely honored to be named the 2020 Madison Family of the Year.
