Donna Burns is a luxury real estate specialist, buying and selling real estate for over 20 years and setting records for the highest sales prices in multiple areas. She began her career on the Gulf Coast, selling multi-million-dollar homes.  In addition to Alabama, Donna also holds a Florida real estate license, working with Remax Today in Huntsville and with Sotheby’s International Realty in Florida.  She resides in Huntsville with her husband Alan and supermodel dog, Diesel.

What circumstances or person/people helped shape you in your career?

I actually began my career in broadcasting working at ABC News in Washington DC and later owning and operating an international media consulting company with my husband.  Those experiences shaped how I run my real estate business by affording me a much broader view of the world and its people and understanding that service (excellent service) is the number one key to growing and keeping clients.

What do you love most about your job?

I love helping people reach their goals.  Whether it’s selling or buying a home, helping make that happen, is very rewarding.  I’m also addicted to looking at houses – everywhere I go, I check out the real estate!  I think I need a 12-step program!

What awards, accolades, or associations are you proudest of?

I was named Outstanding Alumni from the University of Alabama College of Communications. I’m active with the American Heart Association, where I serve on the Executive Leadership Team; as well as serving as Chair of the 2025 Leaders of Impact Program. I also serve on the Board of the Greater Huntsville Humane Society and on the Committee for The Dog Ball.
