Jel Mojana is a Registered Nurse, Medical Scientist, and founder of Mojana Soaps, a luxury handmade skincare and gift brand based in Huntsville, Ala. Jel blends science and artistry to create clean, effective products for sensitive skin and elevated gifting. What began as a small idea during the pandemic has grown into a thriving storefront and national presence. She am passionate about building community, inspiring creativity, and proving that even the smallest beginnings can become something extraordinary.

What circumstances or people helped shape you in your career?

My journey was born in uncertainty but built on purpose. As a nurse and medical scientist, I’ve always been rooted in care and precision but the pandemic pushed me to step into faith and take a leap. I didn’t have all the answers, but I had a vision. My family, my community, and every customer who chose to believe in my brand helped shape me. They reminded me that courage grows when you keep showing up, even when it’s hard.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most is knowing that what I create touches people’s lives in a meaningful way. It’s more than skincare; it’s confidence, self-care, and moments of joy. Whether it’s someone discovering relief for their skin, finding the perfect gift, or creating something with their own hands in our workshops, I get to be part of those moments. That purpose is what fuels me every single day.

What awards, accolades or accomplishments are you proudest of?

I’m incredibly grateful that Mojana Soaps has been recognized as Best Gift Shop in Huntsville for three consecutive years and awarded Best Skincare by Tennessee Valley Living. But what I’m most proud of is the journey, starting with nothing but an idea and growing into something that reaches people beyond my city, even into New York markets. It’s a reminder that dreams don’t have to start big, they just have to start.
