What circumstances or person shaped you in your career?
My father shaped the way I approach both life and leadership. He believed deeply in hard work, lifelong learning, and leaving things better than you found them. He was also my biggest cheerleader – always encouraging me to take the next step, even when it felt a little scary. One lesson from him has always stayed with me: “If you see a way to make something better, it’s your responsibility to do it.” That mindset shapes how I lead my team, support my clients, and mentor other women building their own paths – while also keeping me grounded in what matters most: being present for my husband and daughter and building a life I’m proud of both professionally and personally.
What awards or accomplishments are you proudest of?
Building InSight Strategic Solutions and watching the impact we have on business owners is something I’m incredibly proud of. Helping entrepreneurs gain clarity in their numbers so they can make confident decisions and build stronger companies is work that truly matters to me. Being recognized as the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s Small Business Champion of the Year, earning Professional Service Business of the Year, and receiving the Silver Award for Alabama Small Business of the Year in 2024 were meaningful honors, but the real reward is seeing our clients succeed.
What civic organizations or nonprofits are important to you?
I believe strong communities are built when people invest their time and talents in them. I serve on the boards of the Women’s Economic Development Council (WEDC), New Hope Children’s Clinic, and Energy Alabama, all of which are doing meaningful work to support families and strengthen our communities. I’m also active with the Huntsville and Madison Chambers of Commerce and the Women’s Business Council. Huntsville has an incredible entrepreneurial spirit, and I love being part of organizations that bring leaders together, support one another, and grow together.
Do you have a favorite inspiring quote you’d like to share?
“Not all who wander are lost.”
I’ve always loved this quote because it’s a reminder that growth doesn’t always follow a straight path. Some of the most meaningful opportunities in my career came from moments that didn’t look perfectly planned at the time – but ended up leading exactly where I was meant to go.
