Patti Yancey

CEO/Founder – Liberty Learning Foundation, Inc.

CFO/Co-Owner – Stovehouse Properties, LLC

From driving a bread truck to shaping Alabama’s future, Patti Yancey lives with purpose and passion. As Founder/CEO of Liberty Learning Foundation, she empowers students with civic character; as CFO/Co-owner of Stovehouse, she, alongside her husband Danny, breathes life into Martin Stove Factory, making it a Huntsville icon. A lifelong entrepreneur, Patti blends fiscal expertise with a deep heart for community. For her, success is measured by “the legacies we build and the lives we inspire.”

What circumstances or person/people helped shape you in your career?

Growing up in Fort Payne, my entrepreneurial spirit was sparked early by those who believed in me – my parents, grandparents, teachers, and my cheer coach. During college, I spent my summers driving a bread truck to fund my education. That experience taught me that no job is too small or unimportant and that grit is the foundation of every great venture. It shaped my belief that success isn’t just about the title you hold, but the work ethic you bring to the table every single day.

Later, God blessed my “broken road” with my husband and partner, Danny. His support is the reason I can truly have it all. He empowers me to thrive as a career woman while cherishing my most vital roles as a wife and mother. My career hasn’t just been shaped by business deals, but also by the people who believed in me from the start, my beautiful children, and the partner who stands beside me today.

What do you love most about your job?

I have the unique privilege of cultivating growth in two different ways, but I never do it alone. I love what I do because God has surrounded me with a talented, passionate team at both Liberty Learning Foundation and Stovehouse. The older I get, the more I realize that success is truly found in relationships – the people who walk with us for a season and those who stay for a lifetime.

At Liberty Learning, I get to work for the things I believe in most: Faith, Family, and Freedom. Watching our team invest in students by teaching character and civic pride is a joy I can’t adequately describe. Simultaneously, at Stovehouse, I am honored to help preserve a piece of Huntsville’s history while fostering a legacy of community. Whether it’s shaping a young mind or a historic campus, I am deeply grateful to play a part in things that will outlast me.

Do you have a favorite inspiring quote you’d like to share?

I actually carry two quotes close to my heart. The first is my life philosophy: “Success is not a destination; it is a way of traveling.” It reminds me that life is about constant growth and being deeply passionate about every task or project you pursue. Whether I am delivering bread, mentoring a group of students, or juggling the many buckets of an iconic development, the goal has always been to travel with purpose and leave things better than I found them.

The second is much simpler, but just as powerful. My grandmother always told me, “Patti Ann, make sure you spread a little joy wherever you go!” I try to bring that spirit to existence every day. To me, a life of impact isn’t just about what you build, it’s about the joy you sprinkle along the way.
