What circumstances or people helped shape you in your career?

My own experience relocating to Huntsville was the defining moment that shaped my career, and it continues to fuel how I serve my clients today.
My family began our move here from the Washington, D.C. suburbs in 2009. We initially found our Realtor through a magazine, but were ultimately handed off to someone on a team. While she was kind and well-intentioned, we never truly felt known – our needs, goals, and the bigger picture of our move weren’t fully understood. We built a home in an area we’ve grown to love, but I can’t say the same for the home itself.
That experience gave me a unique perspective I carry into every client relationship. I understand what it feels like to arrive somewhere new – to see a city with fresh eyes – while also having the benefit now of nearly two decades of living and working in this community. I’m able to bridge both perspectives: the emotional uncertainty of relocation and the informed guidance that only comes with deep local knowledge.
What also left a lasting impression on me was the genuine Southern hospitality we experienced. From the moment we arrived, we felt a true sense of “love thy neighbor.” The people here made this place feel like home, and that stayed with me.
That’s what I strive to give back. Real estate, especially for those relocating, is never just about the house. It’s about transition. It’s about understanding not just how many bedrooms someone needs, but why they’re moving, who they’re moving for, and what kind of life they’re hoping to build on the other side.
We moved here for my husband’s job – but what shaped my career was everything wrapped around that decision. And now, with every client, my goal is to understand their story and help guide them through not just the move but the life that follows.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my job is the combination of people and process.
I have the privilege of working closely with both buyers and sellers, but I’ve found a special niche in preparing and positioning homes to sell quickly while maximizing my clients’ equity. For me, it all begins with preparation – and staging is a significant part of that. It’s also my creative outlet.
I love walking into a home and creating a canvas where a buyer can truly see themselves living their best life. I maintain an inventory of curated pieces, but what I enjoy most is selecting something unique for each home – those finishing touches that bring out its character. That might look like a dramatic piece of art to complement an 18-foot fireplace or thoughtfully designing a nursery that feels straight out of a storybook. Every home has a personality, and I love helping it come to life.
From there, the process becomes about storytelling, crafting a narrative around the home and sharing it through strategic marketing and targeted content. It’s a blend of creativity and strategy that I find incredibly fulfilling.
But what brings me the greatest joy is the people. Real estate is often tied to major life transitions – welcoming a new baby, relocating for opportunity, or helping a family thoughtfully move on from a home that once represented a dream. Each situation requires care, perspective, and experience. Being able to guide my clients through those moments, while making them feel supported and understood, is the most rewarding part of what I do.

What awards, accolades or accomplishments are you proudest of?

While I’m honored to be recognized among the top-performing agents in my market, including ranking in the top 4%, the accomplishments I’m most proud of aren’t defined by numbers alone.
What means the most to me is the trust my clients place in me – especially when that trust turns into repeat business and referrals. When a past client calls me years later to help with their next move or confidently introduces me to a friend or family member, that’s the highest level of validation in what I do.
I’m also incredibly proud of the relationships I’ve built within the real estate community. I often have other agents reach out to collaborate – whether it’s helping them prepare a listing, sourcing that one “white elephant” piece they can’t quite find, or sharing insight on off-market opportunities and who may be preparing to sell. That level of trust and collaboration speaks volumes, and it’s something I value deeply.
I’m proud of the complexity of the work I’ve been able to navigate alongside my clients as well. Whether it’s managing detailed relocations, helping families through major life transitions, or positioning a home to stand out in a competitive market, those moments require more than just market knowledge – they require strategy, experience, and a genuine commitment to the outcome.
At the end of the day, I’m most proud of the reputation I’ve built – being known as someone who is approachable, authentic, and deeply invested in the people I serve…while also delivering real, measurable results.
