Sonja Enfinger

Board President, Enfinger Properties

Sonja Enfinger is a wife, mother and entrepreneur who loves to help and serve others! She began a long and fulfilling 25-year career as a practitioner with a double major in PT.  Her first degree from UAB allowed her to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Home Health. She loved her work so much that she then became a Licensed Physical Therapist, graduating with honors from Georgia State University.  She specialized in Spinal Cords and Head Injuries as the Senior PT at Lakeshore Rehab Hospital, and later joined Crestwood Medical Hospital as The Director of Rehab Services until she retired to focus on her family. She and her husband Jeff have one son, Grant who brings them great joy, along with all their children and grandchildren.

Ten years ago, Sonja was appointed Board President – The Enfinger Companies. She manages all aspects of operations for the Homeowners Associations at McMullen Cove, Watson Grande Preserve and Midtowne on The Park. She enjoys showcasing the communities for real estate agents, new residents and helps host events with the amazing Block Captains and NAC Chairs.  Her greatest joy is to “connect people and foster relationships” so that community living becomes a one-of-a-kind home destination.

Sonja’s love of helping others “be healthy and well” is a running theme for her life because it has allowed her greater time freedom with a NEW business strategy that supports ultra-clean, healthy living through “exceptional” nutritional wellness.  What began as a journey to improved health for herself and others has transformed into a ‘gift’ she is honored to share worldwide!  If you are interested in learning more to improve “your” overall health and wealth, or want more information about her communities, contact Sonja at sonja@sonjaenfinger.com.

When you were little, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

A health care provider. My grandmother had a stroke when I was young, and I was able to witness the caring spirit of the home-health physical therapist – hence my desire was enhanced to help others in the same way.

What circumstances or people helped shaped you in your career?

During my internship at Huntsville Hospital, Laura Staff Vann, a PT/OT displayed vast skill, was so knowledgeable and was always super motivated and offered encouraging words at every turn.  She was key in my decision to go back for my double major in Physical Therapy.  At that time, she was very instrumental in how I approached patient care and really how I relate to others to this day!

What do you love most about your job – or jobs as the case may be?

I consider all of my work to really be a ministry of “giving back and serving others” whether it’s connecting residents in different communities with the outdoor living opportunities, or helping others improve their overall health and to gain time freedom.  I am pleased to also connect with physicians and clinicians who use the products and incorporate them into their practices in many ways: improve skin care, weight loss, decrease inflammation and even pain control which helps minimize or eliminate opioid or medication use.

The products offered are “ultra-clean,” so much in fact, that Olympians in forty different countries worldwide safely use them. Many of our products are also in the (PDR) Physician’s Desk Reference which I can stand behind.  I truly love to share “the gift of good health” so others can feel as good as I do.  After reaping the benefits physically many become owners of their own business and enjoy the financial opportunity afforded.  It’s exciting to connect others to a global network of like-minded, giving – caring individuals who offer support on every level. We too are well established and are currently in eighty countries as well as on the NYSE.

What awards, accolades or accomplishments are you proudest of?

I have served on the boards and committees of numerous nonprofits and civic organizations, including: Chair of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County where I participated on every level for some fifteen years and am proud to be a graduate of Class 13.

Other Service Organizations include: The Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville, Crisis Services of North Al., WBCNA, WEDC, The Foundation of WEDC, Women Honoring Women Chair, The 75th March of Dimes Chair, The Federations of State Boards of PT, State Board President of PT, “Women on Boards” State Representative for Al.,  The Committee 100, and others.

I am most proud of launching The Greatest Save-Alabama in McMullen Cove, which now receives legislation funding to implemented peer-to-peer programs in the Alabama school systems. The Greatest Save is a prevention-focused personal safety program for kids and teens aimed at preventing victimization. The group’s motto is “The Greatest Save is the one we never have to make.” The organization is a recognized charity of Major League Baseball promoting educational workshops using baseball to teach kids about The Game of Life.  Baseball Hall of Fame Rollie Fingers is the organization’s spokesperson for the past 33 years.  I was extremely honored to be presented the prestigious KinderVison “Crystal Angel Award” that President Ronald Reagan also received from the founders: Doug and Nancy Sabastian and daughter Tami Speth, the New President of the nonprofit kindervison.org
