What’s your favorite thing about living in the Huntsville/Madison County area?
What I love most about living in Huntsville/Madison County is the spirit of our community. It is vibrant, inspiring, and full of opportunity. Our growth has come from people working together across the public and private sectors, always thinking beyond the horizon and continuing to make this area a hub for innovation. At the same time, we care deeply about helping others. I am proud to live here with my husband, Daiven, and our son, Annin. One of our favorite family traditions is serving meals on Christmas Eve at the Downtown Rescue Mission and supporting its work throughout the year.
What civic organizations or nonprofits have you been involved with, and why have those been important to you?
Giving back to my community has always been deeply important to me. I currently serve as Chair of the First Horizon Huntsville Advisory Board and co-chair of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Classic, where Lynn Troy and I have the distinct honor of being the first women duo to lead the event. I also serve on the Board of Directors of HEALS Inc., the WEDC Foundation, and the Huntsville Madison County Chamber of Commerce, and previously served as a Trustee for Alabama A&M University. I am also honored to be a founding member of the International Women’s Forum Alabama Chapter, which supports and mentors women leaders across our state. These opportunities matter to me because they allow me to invest in others, strengthen our community, and help create opportunities for the next generation.
What awards, accolades or accomplishments are you proudest of?
Two awards that mean the most to me are being named as an Honoree for Women Who Shape the State and being recognized by the WEDC Foundation as an Honoree through Women Honoring Women. What makes those recognitions so meaningful is the opportunity to stand alongside women whose leadership, strength, and example have opened doors for so many others. I am incredibly grateful for that privilege and hope to continue to pass the torch through service, leadership, and mentorship.
